This wine tasting has already taken place
We had great fun trying these wines. The Asda Rioja was everybody's choice as best value, the Sauvignon Gris was really interesting to try, the Port went down very well and my my personal favourite was the Grove Mill Sauvignon Blanc in the Sainsbury's bottle.

Gold Medal Winning Wines You Can Afford?
All of the big wine competitions - IWC, IWSC and Decanter - declare their initial results in May. We've got the inside track and we'll be at these announcements to seek out the winners that represent the best value.
What Will You Taste?
Well, we don't excatly know yet. You'll taste at least 6 wines. There will be at least two Gold medal winners and we'll do our best to identify bottles that we think represent the best value, before they run out of stock.
Our selection criteria will be:
- At least Silver Medla winning
- Available to buy in London or over the web
- Most wines priced below £10 per bottle
- At least one potential trophy winner over £20 per bottle
- Variety of sparkling, red and white wine, with something a little unusual if possible
- All served in a fun format with a bit of background info
Everybody should enjoy this night. Experienced tasters will get the chance to explore what's currently in vogue, while novice drinkers will find a few bottles to seek out before they run out.
Engaging Tutored Tasting
This tutored tasting is ideal for beginners and experts alike. We'll introduce each wine as you try them and you'll get the background on where they're from, how they're made and what makes them special.
We'll be providing water and oat cakes to cleanse the palate.
Tasting starts at 7.30 and lasts approximately ninety minutes.
All For Only £15!
Tickets for this event are only £15. This reflects the lower cost of wine from our usual events. It's a great value evening out.
